CLAT is the national entrance exam for admission to the five-year integrated LL.B. programmes at the National Law Universities (NLUs), conducted by the Consortium of NLUs. It is also accepted by many other law schools and some public-sector recruiters. The UG test assesses aptitude and comprehension rather than prior legal knowledge.
